Riding boots and cap from “Giant”

Elizabeth Taylor wore these riding boots and cap playing the role of Leslie Benedict in the 1956 epic western drama, Giant. Directed by George Stevens and also starring Rock Hudson and James Dean, the film was an important milestone in Elizabeth’s career. Not only did she notably and convincingly, at only 23 years old, portray a family matriarch that ages 25 years during the course of the film, production of Giant marked the beginning of Elizabeth’s formative friendships with both of her co-stars.
