Cleopatra Floral Headdress

Worn by Elizabeth Taylor alongside her yellow gown in the 1963 film “Cleopatra,” this decorative headdress features ornate gold leaves — enhanced with real “Egyptian gold” paint — and white silk flowers. The delicate headdress, crafted by milliner Rex of Beverly Hills had a particularly elaborate foundation, constructed with intricate silk-weaved netting and hair combs for a secure fit. Additionally, Elizabeth wore the bespoke “Cleopatra” headdress off set to the Sistine Theatre in Rome to accept the Maschera d’Argento (Silver Mask) Award, in 1961.
