In the Spirit of Elizabeth Taylor

In 2025, House of Taylor found ourselves in a rare and electric cultural moment, one in which the world’s biggest modern pop icon has turned her spotlight toward the world’s biggest star of another era: Elizabeth Taylor. Taylor Swift’s track named after Elizabeth from her album “The Life of a Showgirl” has introduced a new generation to Elizabeth’s name and for that, we are endlessly grateful. Moments like these invite all of us to pause, look closer, and rediscover what made her so singular in the first place.
As algorithms divide our attention, it’s easy to forget what it feels like to have a celebrity that is universal, but Elizabeth reminds us. She was a true global star, beloved by royalty, celebrities, and everyday people alike. She is someone whose presence reached across boundaries, whose relevance has stretched across generations. Today, some people know her name because of a pop album; others remember watching her films as they were released, supporting her activism as it made tangible change, and witnessing her personal strength and fearlessness as she lived her life with passion.
But what made her extraordinary was not her fame, her wealth, her success, or her jewels: it was her humanity. Her ability to look at every person and recognize their value without hesitation was undeniably special. She lived large, but remained humble always. She loved deeply and whole-heartedly, and showed it extravagantly. She lived boldly but never cruelly. She refused to tolerate pretension, yet she fiercely protected the dignity of anyone who doubted their own worth. She championed the underdog not because it was virtuous, but because she genuinely believed that every person mattered.
At a time when the world feels divided, fearful, or overwhelmed, Elizabeth reminds us that we can live large without losing sight of who we are; that we can be powerful without being unkind; that we can follow our hearts — even rebelliously — without losing our humanity.
In 2026, we remain committed to carrying these values forward; to preserving and sharing Elizabeth’s story in all its depth, glamour, humor, and brilliance; to welcoming longtime admirers and brand-new fans alike; and to celebrating a woman whose relevance doesn’t fade, because her impact was never just cultural, it was human.
Thank you for being here with us, and cheers to a new year filled with heart, beauty, courage, and connection, just how Elizabeth would have liked it.
